Press Release
February 13, 2026
Nipissing First Nation recently ran a community transit survey with Blaise Transit from August 11 to September 5, 2025. Your answers helped us decide what to test in the next phase of our Transit Feasibility Study, and we want you to stay involved.
We encourage everyone to come to our upcoming engagement sessions so we can keep building a transit plan together:
Monday, March 2, 2026
Duchesnay Community Hall | 5:30 – 7 p.m.
This is a hybrid event. NFN members can join virtually through the NFN Portal by clicking the Zoom link.
To Register, Email: vinceg@nfn.ca or Call 705-753-2050 ext. 1340
Following the presentation, Blaise Transit will lead a Feedback and Q&A discussion, giving community members the opportunity to ask questions and share input.
The survey shows that many people still rely on private vehicles or family rides to get around. Without local transit, some residents cannot reach important places like work, school, medical care, or shopping.
What You Told Us
Where most people travel
Barriers
What most people want
These results show that our transit plan must be affordable, accessible, and flexible. We are now testing fixed, on-demand, and hybrid models through simulations so we can bring forward a community-led solution.
Your participation helps shape the future of transit in our community — we hope to see you there!
