The N.A.M.E Mining Expo, Sudbury’s largest mining show, will have 300 indoor booths and heavy equipment outdoor displays, educational workshops, demonstrations, and talks by leaders in the mining field. There will opportunities for companies to network, and form partnerships. Individuals may also explore educational and career potential in the technologically advanced mining occupations.
Expo Hours:
Wednesday September 10th, 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Thursday September 11th, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Grand Opening, Wednesday September 10th Ribbon Cutting:
10:30 a.m. Ribbon Cutting with Mayor Marianne Matichuk, Greater Sudbury and, Miss Northern Ontario and dignitaries
Jackleg Drill Competition Breaking News!
We now have 7 media personalities to take on 7 mayoral candidates. Here is the breakdown of the Opening Ceremonies and Jackleg Competitions.
Mayor Al Spacek of Kapuskasing a president of The Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities (FONOM) also 2013 Northern Ontario Mayor Jackleg Champion will be at the opening ceremonies and will give a demonstration for the contestants.
Provincial Boart Longyear Jackleg Competitions:
11:15 -11:30 a.m. – Media versus Sudbury Mayoral Candidates ( Awards presented immediately after)
1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. – Ladies Invitational (novice only)
2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. – Men’s Provincial King Competitions (professionals only)
7:00 p.m. – Awards for Men’s and Ladies Competitions
