Floodwaters impacting several Prince Albert Grand Council member First Nations are beginning to recede, but officials say the danger is not over.
PAGC’s Emergency Operations Centre remains active as crews continue monitoring conditions in Red Earth Cree Nation, Shoal Lake Cree Nation, Wahpeton Dakota Nation, Sturgeon Lake First Nation and Little Red River First Nation.
The Canadian Red Cross is currently supporting about 485 Red Earth Cree Nation members in Prince Albert, along with approximately 335 evacuees from Red Earth and Shoal Lake Cree Nations in Saskatoon.
Grand Chief Brian Hardlotte said the priority remains supporting displaced residents until it is safe for families to return home.
