Saugeen First Nation residents asked to help shape future policing – CKNX News Today

The Chippewas of Saugeen First Nation is asking community members to weigh in on the future of policing in the community.
Chief and Council have launched a policing feasibility study, aimed at exploring options that better reflect the Nation’s priorities, values, and expectations around safety and wellbeing.
The study is being conducted with support from KPMG, and will examine what a community-focused policing model could look like, including the potential for an agreement with the Anishinabek Police Service.
