Snowshoeing removed from Team NT for 2026 AWG, other sports reduced – Cabin Radio

Some NWT sports bodies have had their allocations for the 2026 Arctic Winter Games in Whitehorse reduced – and the snowshoeing team has been completely removed.
The Arctic Winter Games is a circumpolar multisport event largely focused on youth athletes that is held every two years.
Funding for the NWT’s Arctic Winter Games team is provided by the territorial government through the Department of Municipal and Community Affairs.
