The Federation of Sovereign Indian Nations represents 74 First Nations in Saskatchewan. The Federation is committed to honouring the spirit and intent of the Treaties, as well as the promotion, protection and implementation of the Treaty promises that were made more than a century ago.
For everything we do as leaders, parents, and grandparents we strive to give the best quality of life for our children and grandchildren to give them the best opportunities to be successful in life.
Priorities have always been inherent and treaty-based jurisdiction for each Chief and Council. Every sector of all levels of government fall under the umbrella of the inherent and treaty rights, including education, child welfare, housing, health, economic development, and a right to livelihood.
We are the strongest Indigenous organization in Canada and we represent 74 First Nations in Saskatchewan. It is the self-determination of the First Nations to maintain governance, and we will advance each the progress and development of each Nation. Communication is so crucial because FSIN is mandated through strong and clear directives.
