The National Claims Research Planning Committee invites you to the 23rd Annual National Claims Research Workshop at the Six Nations of the Grand River Territory in the beautiful Ohsweken, Ontario, N0A 1M0. The Conference will be held at the Six Nations Polytechnic, 2160 Fourth Line, Six Nations of the Grand River October 6 and 7, 2015, and the Woodland Cultural Centre, Branford, Ontatio, on October 8, 2015.
The annual workshop assembles experts from all regions of Canada to share information regarding recent developments in information management, oral history, legislative initiatives and case law that directly impact research, development and resolution of specific claims. The workshop features a number of specialized sessions delivered over a 2½ day period by invited speakers who are experts in their respective fields. It is a wonderful opportunity for professional development, networking, sharing information and staying informed. Typically, over 100 First Nations researchers from across the country attend.
Six Nations of the Grand River will be planning a Tour and a Banquet which will also feature showcases which highlight Six Nations culture and history in the region. These will occur throughout the workshop and at the banquet.

• Honour of the Crown in Negotiations
• GIS and Claims Production
• Access to Information, records, finding aids or new digital records
• Specific Claims Tribunal 5 year Review and claims undergoing Judicial Review
• Legal Duty to Consult and Accommodate
• Additions to Reserve
• Trusts for Claims Settlement Payments
• Preserving Oral Testimony
