Homicide investigation continuing – Yukon RCMP

The Yukon RCMP Major Crimes Unit is continuing its investigation into the death of a 25-year-old Whitehorse woman, who died on February 26th, 2018. The victim has been identified as Chelsey Tegan Bien, a citizen of Kwanlin Dün First Nation in Whitehorse.
An autopsy was performed at Vancouver General Hospital on the morning of February 27th, 2018. Results of the autopsy were consistent with initial findings, and have confirmed Ms. Bien’s death to be a homicide.
No arrests have been made.
RCMP investigators continue to gather evidence and speak to witnesses, and are following up on all tips provided by the public. The investigation is continuing.
