MNO – From the Ground Up: Skilled Trades Fundamentals Training Project

Currently accepting applications for the Fall 2021 program

Funding is available to Indigenous individuals to pursue a 1-year Skilled Trades Fundamentals program at a college or accredited training institution in Ontario (includes union-approved facilities and trades specific certifications).

Eligible Trades Fundamentals programs included (but not limited to):

• Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
• Welding and Fabrication
• Automotive
• Machining
• Plumbing
• Carpentry
• Electrical
• Construction
• Technology

Funding supports included:

• Career counselling and skillsets evaluation
• Eligible expenses include tuition, books, equipment, industry-specific support and protective equipment, travel and living allowances
