Call for 2024 NWT Outstanding Volunteer Awards Nominations

The Government of the Northwest Territories is accepting nominations for the 2024 NWT Outstanding Volunteer Awards. This year marks the 33rd year of these awards, which recognize and celebrate the remarkable contributions volunteers make in communities across the territory.

Residents are encouraged to nominate elders, youth, individuals, or group volunteers in their communities who donate their time to improve the quality of life for NWT residents.

Awards are presented in the following categories:

Elder Outstanding Volunteer Award
Youth Outstanding Volunteer Award
Individual Outstanding Volunteer Award
Group Outstanding Volunteer Award

Nominations for the NWT Outstanding Volunteer Awards are accepted year-round. The deadline for 2024 nominations is December 15, 2024. Nominations can be submitted online (NWT Outstanding Volunteer Awards Nomination Form), faxed to (867) 920-6467, emailed to youth_and_volunteer@gov.nt.ca, or mailed to the following address:

This year’s recipients will be honoured during a special ceremony at the Legislative Assembly in February 2025.
