Final report on foreign political interference to drop this morning – iPolitics

A year and a half after she was formally tasked with investigating allegations of foreign interference in Canada’s federal electoral system, Quebec justice Marie-Josée Hogue is ready to release her final report, which, as Canadian Press notes, is expected to include “advice on when the public should be told of meddling during a federal election campaign,” as well as “address simmering allegations about the activities of some parliamentarians and suggest ways to better protect members of vulnerable communities from transnational repression.” (11:45 a.m.)

As per the launch notice for second round of public testimony last fall, the report will examine the “current capacity of departments, agencies, institutional structures and governance processes to combat foreign interference, and how the capacity of each has evolved over time.”
