Call for applications: Sport for Social Development Grants

The Department of Community Services’ Sport and Recreation Division is now accepting applications for the following program:

The Sport for Life program’s Sport for Social Development Grant: Proposals are now being accepted for eligible non-profit organizations and municipalities who wish to deliver initiatives in Nunavut. Initiatives should aim to use sports as a tool for social development and/or support women and girls in sport by reducing barriers and encouraging participation.

Examples of eligible projects include:

• Afterschool programs.
• Traditional and cultural recreation.
• Fitness programs.
• Community camps and clinics.
• Women’s and girls’ focused programs.

Programs are eligible for up to $25,000.

The deadline for proposals and application packages is Monday, June 30, 2025. The application and evaluation criteria can be found on the Government of Nunavut website. For further assistance, please contact srinfo@gov.nu.ca.
