Search Concluded for Missing Teen in Arctic Bay

On July 8, 2025, the Department of Community Services’ (CS) Nunavut Emergency Management (NEM) concluded search efforts for a missing teen in Arctic Bay. The individual was reported missing on June 30, 2025.

Over the course of the response, NEM assisted with coordination and resource support, including the deployment of a search coordinator to Arctic Bay. Ground and air searches were carried out extensively by local volunteers and ground search-and-rescue teams, with assistance from the Canadian Rangers, RCMP, and specialized resources such as aerial drones and a police dog team.

NEM sincerely thanks all partners and community members who contributed to the search efforts. With NEM’s operational support now concluded, the file remains under the jurisdiction of the RCMP.
