Native Council of Nova Scotia: Election 2025

In accordance to Section 3.1 of the NCNS Election Handbook, the Native Council of Nova Scotia

received only one nomination, by the deadline of July 24, 2025, for the NCNS Office of Chief and President.

As all requirements were met per the Election Handbook; the Election Process will now cease.

I want to announce that Lorraine Augustine has been re-elected by acclimation; for a four year term, as the Native Council of Nova Scotia’s Chief and President.

A formal announcement will be made during the Annual General Assembly on September 6, 2025.
