Huron-Superior Regional Métis Community Launches New Community Website

The Huron-Superior Regional Métis Community (HSRMC) announced the launch of its new regional community hub website during a virtual event held on Monday, February 23, 2026. The website is designed to strengthen communication, transparency, and engagement with Métis citizens across the region.

The new website, developed in collaboration with Advocate Strategies Inc., will serve as a primary source of regional news and information, including community updates, program details, governance information, and event listings. The platform reflects the Region’s commitment to open communication, accountability, and accessible information for all citizens.

The website content has been reviewed to ensure the stories, narratives and rights of the historic Métis community are respected, protected and rooted in history and facts.

The launch event brought together Council members, community leaders, staff, and citizens to celebrate this important milestone. Attendees had the opportunity to explore the website’s features, learn how to stay informed about regional initiatives, and hear remarks from Regional leadership about the vision for continued digital engagement.

The website has been designed to be user-friendly and mobile-responsive, ensuring citizens can access important information wherever they are. It will continue to evolve as new content, programs and services, and resources are added to meet the needs of the community.
