2,000 athletes are participating, most are under 18

This week, the Arctic Winter Games are happening in Whitehorse, Yukon.

It’s a week-long competition where more than 2,000 athletes, mostly youth, will compete in 20 sports.

It’s like the Olympics, but for athletes in Arctic countries.

It includes some classic sports, along with some that have Indigenous roots.
