Exhibition called Belonging features Métis artist’s work from 1982 to 2024
The Art Gallery of Algoma (AGA) is proud to present Belonging, a retrospective exhibition by renowned Red River Métis artist Rosalie Favell, open now until June 20.
Belonging brings together a curated selection of Favell’s lens-based works from 1982 to 2024, including key series such as Living Evidence, Plain(s) Warrior Artist, and Facing the Camera. Through photography, digital collage, and portraiture, Favell explores themes of identity, empowerment, same-sex desire, and community, inviting audiences to reflect on the evolving search for belonging.
