The BC Economic Development Association (BCEDA) has introduced DisasterSmartBC.ca, a comprehensive online platform designed to support First Nation and local governments, businesses, and local leaders. This new resource is designed to strengthen economic resilience before, during, and after natural disasters.

Key features of the website include:

• Customized resources and advice to help communities and businesses safeguard their local economies
• Direct link to the Red Cross Ready Rating Program
• Free Community Economic Readiness Assessment Tool to evaluate preparedness
