Canada’s Only Indigenous Pro Rodeo Returns to Buffalo Lake Métis Settlement This Weekend – 89.3 The Raven

The Gateway to the North Pro Rodeo gallops back into action this weekend, May 23–25, bringing top-tier rodeo competition, Métis culture, and family-friendly entertainment to the Tom Blyan Memorial Rodeo Grounds.
As Canada’s only Indigenous-hosted professional rodeo, the event is a cornerstone of the Buffalo Lake Métis Settlement’s annual Cultural Days celebration. It features a full slate of Canadian Professional Rodeo Association (CPRA) events, including saddle bronc, tie-down roping, steer wrestling, novice events, and ladies barrel racing. World-class stock is provided by C5 Rodeo, and the athlete lineup includes rodeo stars such as Zeke Thurston, Logan Hay, and Lisa Zachoda.
