Clyde River – Man’s death investigated by RCMP Major Crimes Unit

Clyde River, Nunavut

On February 3, 2018, a 66 year old man from Clyde River died at the Qikiqtani General Hospital in Iqaluit. On the evening of February 1, 2018, the Clyde River RCMP received a call of a man in medical distress. After being treated at the local Health Centre, he was subsequently transported to Iqaluit.

Clyde River RCMP, the V Division Major Crimes Unit, and the Office of the Chief Coroner are investigating the death.

The Office of the Chief Coroner has ordered an autopsy and the investigation is ongoing.
