The Minister of Crown-Indigenous Affairs visited Cape Breton last week and was forced to dip her toe into the smokey waters of the cannabis tensions between Mi’kmaq and the provincial government.

Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs of Canada Rebecca Alty was asked by media what her thoughts were on the situation of cannabis sales in Nova Scotia. She had arrived in Cape Breton the day after three dispensaries were raided by RCMP in Unama’ki (Cape Breton).
