Press Release
This year, the Yukon Housing Corporation is opening a $3.6 million fund for innovative housing projects that will address local housing needs.
This funding can be used to develop new affordable housing units in Yukon through new construction or by providing rent supplements for new units to help Yukoners afford rental housing. First Nations, First Nations Development Corporations, developers, contractors and community organizations with projects that will increase housing options in their community can apply for this funding.
A submission form and proposal outline are available from the Yukon Housing Corporation. The deadline for project proposals is June 29, 2018, at 4:30 p.m.
This fund will encourage the development of affordable housing across the territory. The Housing Initiatives Fund fosters innovative solutions through partnerships with developers, First Nation governments and communities to create more affordable housing options for Yukoners.
