Government of Yukon provides an update on the sale process of Eagle Gold Mine

Press Release

April 28, 2026

On April 23, the court-appointed Receiver, with the consent of the Yukon government, entered into an exclusivity agreement with Boroo Pte. Ltd. for the sale of the Eagle Gold Mine and certain related assets. This exclusivity agreement is an important next step of the Eagle Gold sale process. During the exclusivity period, Boroo Pte. Ltd. will complete additional due diligence and seek to negotiate the terms of a potential definitive sale agreement. Further details about the exclusivity agreement can be found on the Receiver’s website.

The Government of Yukon provided input into the sale process to help ensure that the interests of Yukoners are protected. This includes setting out criteria to ensure that any potential buyer is responsible, experienced and well-resourced. Boroo Pte. Ltd. is a Singapore-based, privately held company that operates, develops and acquires mining properties globally. More details about the company can be found on their website.

The Government of Yukon has advanced funds to the Receiver to fund the remediation of the mine site and the activities of the Receiver during the receivership. These advances are secured by a super-priority charge over all the assets of Victoria Gold Corp. A successful sale of the Eagle Gold Mine and related assets would create an opportunity for the Yukon government to recover the funding advanced through the receivership loan. The maximum loan amount remains unchanged at $220 million.

Quick facts
