Indigenous youth gathering connects students with agriculture futures – MBC Radio

About 200 Indigenous students from Grades 9 to 12 are taking part in the Indigenous Youth Gathering: Awakening the Land, Growing Futures at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon.
The one-day event is hosted by Agriculture in the Classroom Saskatchewan in partnership with Horizon School Division and focuses on connecting youth with opportunities in agriculture and food systems.
Students are participating in hands-on breakout sessions covering topics such as plant and soil science, animal agriculture, food production and food sovereignty.
