Media Advisory — Governor General to celebrate excellence in public service journalism during Michener Awards ceremony

OTTAWA, Ontario—Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada, will present the 2024 Michener Awards during a ceremony at Rideau Hall.
The awards include the Michener Award for meritorious public service journalism; the Michener-Baxter Award for Exceptional Service to Canadian Journalism; the 2025 Michener-L. Richard O’Hagan Fellowship for Journalism Education; the Michener-Deacon Fellowship for Investigative Journalism; and the inaugural Norman Webster Fellowships.
