Press Release
Families and relatives of missing and murdered indigenous women and girls in Quebec,
The National Inquiry is looking for you to get involved. QNW encourages you to be in contact with the Inquiry to make your voices heard throughout this process.
What you need to know:
This inquiry is looking into the systemic causes of all forms of violence against Indigenous women and girls in Canada. Distance, isolation and the unknown define disappearance. Thus, its form varies: abduction, suicide, placement of children in care, lost of contact, murder or any other forms of disappearance under mysterious circumstances.
You can be involved on two levels:
You have to give precise details on your loved one, like her name and her place and date of birth. It is also important to understand the circumstances leading to your loved one’s violent/wrongful/suspicious death or unexplained disappearance. You can contact the Inquiry through email or Facebook. There is no time limit but we suggest doing it as soon as possible.
