Toronto company would remain owners of the site, requiring archaeological clearance before it can build homes
A plot of land in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ont., (NOTL) that could be turned into a subdivision is believed to hold Indigenous artifacts dating back 10,000 years.
The 0.4-hectare property at 46 Paxton Lane, also known as Block 18, is owned by 2233497 Ontario Ltd, a company in Toronto.
The landowners hope to build a subdivision including 12 detached houses and 17 townhouses.
