Public information and warning: Violent Sexual Offender

In the interest of public safety, the Northwest Territories RCMP is issuing the following warning: Timothy FOOTBALL, 23, is being released from North Slave Correctional Centre, December 8, 2016. FOOTBALL has Criminal Code convictions for Sexual Assault, Assault with a Weapon, Assault, Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Breaches of Court Orders.

Northwest Territories RCMP is advising all citizens, particularly those in the community of Wha Ti, that FOOTBALL is considered by police to be a Violent Sexual Offender who poses a risk of significant harm to the public.

FOOTBALL will be on court-imposed conditions upon his release and will be required to follow strict conditions including restrictions on any activity that involves contact with children under the age of 16.

The Northwest Territories RCMP is issuing this information and warning after careful deliberation of all related issues, including privacy concerns, in the belief that it is clearly in the public interest to inform members of the community about FOOTBALL.

Timothy FOOTBALL (1993-01-08) Aboriginal male, 169 cm, 70kg, brown eyes and black hair.

Members of the public are advised that the intent of this process is to enable citizens to take suitable precautionary measures. RCMP is warning that any form of vigilante activity or other unreasonable conduct will not be tolerated.
