Take Our Kids to Work 2023

Take Our Kids to Work is set for November 2023. Grade 9 students across Nunavut will get hands-on experience in various professions as they consider potential career paths.

This year’s theme of “Everyone Belongs Here” enables employers to demonstrate their commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion but also to showcase how Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit (IQ) principles are applied in the workplace. Students will engage in both virtual and in-person activities.

The Department of Education values Take Our Kids to Work as it provides students an opportunity to:

• Explore a variety of careers, industries, and sectors that complement Aulajaaqtut classes.
• Learn essential skills important to thrive in the workplace.
• Discover a range of career options.
• Recognize the value of education.
