Airdrie has announced that it’s grant program applications, offering up to $15,000 for Indigenous-led initiatives connected to National Indigenous Peoples Day June 21st, and National Day for Truth and Reconciliation September 30th. The city of Airdrie says eligible applicants must be Indigenous-led not-for-profit with at least 50% Indigenous leadership and demonstrated relationships with Treaty 7 Nations or the Otipemisiwak Métis Government (District 4).
Grants of up to $15,000 are available in 2026, subject to council-approved funding. The city also said the program will help support initiatives that help it’s residents connect with Indigenous stories and history. The grant program ties into the city of Airdries Indigenous Framework and Action Plan.
