Update: Missing hunter found deceased

Missing hunter found deceased.

During the morning hours of February 1st, 2017, searchers located the overdue hunter deceased. This matter has been handed over to the Northwest Territories Coroner’s Office with the assistance of the “G” Division RCMP.

The investigation is ongoing.

The Yellowknife RCMP would like to thank the Civil Aviation Search and Rescue (CASARSA), the Yellowknife Ground Search and Rescue, members of the Canadian Armed Forces 440 Squadron, Environment Canada, the Northwest Territories Environment and Natural Resources, NUNA Logistics, Joint Venture, community volunteers from Behchoko, and volunteers from elsewhere who assisted with the search.
