Yellowknife RCMP seek public assistance in missing man investigation

Yellowknife RCMP are seeking the assistance of the public in a search for a missing man who was last seen near Dettah.

Mark Lynn, is a 21 year old Aboriginal male.  He was last seen in Dettah on August 24, and reported missing on Sunday, August 28. He was travelling on foot, and may have been in the “Lagoon” area of Dettah on the evening of August 24th.

An initial search of the area and inquiries has provided no indication of where Mark may be, or which direction he may have gone.  There is no description of clothing he was wearing, however a social media photo from August 23rd, shows Mark wearing a black jacket and black “Raptors” baseball cap.

Mark is described as:

  • Aboriginal Male
  • 179 cm or 5’ 10”
  • 76 kg or 167 lbs
  • medium build
  • brown hair
  • brown eyes

“If anyone has had any contact with Mark, may have seen him on August 24th or since, we are asking them to please come forward and provide the information to the RCMP,” states C/M Marie York-Condon, Northwest Territories RCMP Spokesperson.
